Sarah Myerscough Gallery: Engrained Material Intelligence

For LDF2024, Sarah Myerscough Gallery explores the diverse and rich methods afforded by working with wood, in its most natural state, in contemporary design. Made at the intersection of craft, sculpture and material research, the works in this exhibition emerge from an innovative approach to material and technique.At Cromwell Place Garage, the Gallery is exhibiting works from Nic Webb, Peter Marigold, Studio Amos, Gareth Neal and Kasper Hamacher. Each of these artists is engaged with the innate physical properties of wood, drawing out the material’s history, emotional durability and significance in contemporary design.
