During the annual London Design Festival, Brompton plays host to a series of exhibitions and events discovered in shops, showrooms, galleries and institutions, and a curated programme by Jane Withers Studio within the District championing experimental design.
For 2023, the theme for Brompton’s pop-up programme ‘Conviviality – The Art of Living Together' celebrates design’s ability to connect us with the people and places around us and to help us to live collaboratively.
Highlights of the curated programme include Rio Kobayashi’s first solo exhibition Manus Manum Lavat (One Hand Washes the Other); Fels Gallery’s Farm Shop, curated by Marco Campardo, Guan Lee and Luca Lo Pinto, inviting designers to collaborate on the elements of a dining tableau made during a residency at Grymsdyke Farm; while design collective All in Awe engages with local community groups to co-design an installation for Egerton Gardens.
