A Softer World — Panel DiscussionHosted by Erotic Review and GF SmithLocation: The Lavery Gallery, BromptonDate/Time: Wednesday 17 September, 12 noonIn an age increasingly governed by algorithms and mediated through screens, design’s role as a humanising force has never felt more urgent. This panel asks how tactility, intimacy, and play can be reclaimed in a culture that often prioritises speed and efficiency over connection and care.Drawing together leaders from publishing, branding, and design, the conversation will navigate what it means to create “softer” modes of working and living.Chaired by Lucy Roeber, editor of Erotic Review, the discussion brings together:
  • Ben Watkinson, Global Brand Director at GF Smith, exploring the future of materials in an increasingly digital world.
  • Frith Kerr, founder of Studio Frith, celebrated for her work at the intersection of visual identity and storytelling.
  • Jack Godfrey-Wood founder of Heirloom, known for designs that balance longevity with emotional resonance
The session will run for approximately 45 minutes, followed by audience questions and informal networking. Guests are invited to stay and continue the conversation in the convivial setting of the The Lavery.
