The Competition for Air – Beyond Ritual and Myth by Livsdal
Air is an unseen yet pervasive aspect of human life: from ritual to myth, medicine, agriculture and technology. Pollutants and toxic particles, despite their microscopic size, are harmful to our health. Today, most of us inhabit cities where we are competing for a basic right: clean air. Audiences will experience the benefits of the Livsdal air purifier, which blurs the line between appliance and furniture, whilst engaging with visuals commissioned by Livsdal from Swedish-Hungarian artist and graphic designer Gabor Palotai that capture the minuteness of the particles and illustrate the reality of urban air pollution.
