This year marks the bicentenary of the publication of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, the perennial gothic horror story of creator and creation. HORROR SHOW employs the narrative as a connective tissue between a set of diverse design projects ranging from transforming environments through products and performance, to designing process-driven objects, mounting participatory workshops and working in the digital domain.
The exhibited projects investigate and bring new meanings to topics such as artificial intelligence, hacking and emerging technologies, as well as the place and moment of creation; themes central to Shelley’s two hundred year old story and equally relevant to design today.
HORROR SHOW is by a design collective born at the Royal College of Art, London.

Opening times: Sat – Tues 10-6, Weds & Fri 10-8, Thurs 10–9
